Welcome to the official website of Bridges of New York, where we are converting takers into givers, and creating life after addiction. Utilizing the 12 step program, we focus on the spiritual aspects of recovery from substance abuse. Bridges is a faith based program that was started in Florida by Bishop Frank Costantino, and we are bringing the program here to Long Island to continue to save lives, as Bridges of America has been doing for over 30 years.
In the New York Metro area, the abuse of drugs and alcohol is causing an epidemic of major proportions; one out of every five households is dealing with problems related to addiction. Almost 90% of the inmates at the Nassau County Correctional Facility are incarcerated because of drug and alcohol related crimes. We can no longer stand idly by and watch this epidemic destroy our neighborhoods.
